Connecting Discogs
Two steps, and only the first one is required
WaxVault prices your records against live Discogs data. Connecting your own
Discogs account keeps those lookups fast and accurate. Setting up seller
settings is a second, optional step that unlocks per-condition pricing.
Step 1 — Connect your account
Required for Digger Mode. Takes one tap, and a Discogs account is free.
- In WaxVault, open Settings and tap Connect Discogs.
- Sign in to Discogs and approve the request.
- You will land back in WaxVault with the account linked.
Why Digger Mode needs this. Digger checks prices on many
records in quick succession. Connecting your account means those checks run
on your own Discogs allowance rather than a shared one, so digging stays
fast for you and does not slow anyone else down.
Step 2 — Turn on seller settings
Optional. This is what unlocks per-condition pricing — separate values for
Mint, Near Mint, VG+ and so on, instead of a single figure.

- Go to discogs.com/settings/seller.
- Fill in your shipping country and currency. You do not have to list anything for sale.
- Save, then return to WaxVault Settings and tap the refresh icon next to your Discogs status.
Not selling anything? That is fine. Discogs uses these
settings to work out which marketplace figures apply to you, so filling them
in is enough on its own. Nothing is listed and nothing is published.
What you get either way
Without seller settings, WaxVault still values your collection using
marketplace and release data — the status in Settings reads
Basic Pricing Active. With them, it reads
Full Pricing and every record gets a value per condition.
